Pavel Banka's photographs display immense emotion and depth in the portrayal of nature's surroundings, capturing the sensuality of an ocean's wave, a tree's branches, and the rolling Oregon hills.
Having spent a six-month residency in Oregon, Pavel Banka decided to take a new approach in his artistic field. Fascinated with the ever constant, fluid motion of his surroundings, he experimented with his camera in recording those changing images. His photographs look as if the artist had actually painted the picture into the film emulsion.
Banka's work is in the collections of several museums. His work was previously exhibited in Czech Republic. His book, entitled Vsechno A Nic: Everything and Nothing, was published in 1990 by Pizensky Prazdroj.
